Evil Can't Be Gotten Rid Of

Or can he? Like every evil presence among us mere humans, Dr. Pfotz is never quite what he appears to be.  But he's not all bad...

Miles just has the best looks.  Of course, it takes hours to go through the footage just to find this one frame.

But ain't it worth it?

Handy work

Another shot with my hand.  Who would have guessed my hands would be used so much?  George Castanza's got nothing on me!

Story told in pictures...
Boring stuff.  But in context it's humorous, trust me.

They'll put that on my tombstone, I just know it...

This just about sums up how I feel at this point.

Why So Serious...ly slow?

Here's what I'm up against: Not only do I have to go through the footage for the best angles and images to take (and keep in mind that's 29.97 frames a second), but then there's all sorts of filtering followed by the the endless possibilities of lighting.  How important is lighting?  Take a look at these three samples and you'll get an idea.

Plus there's cloning that takes forever...

...from the original image....
(could I look any more ridiculous?)

And lastly--one I'm proud of, despite the fact I've grown SO SICK of this paper! Thank goodness it's the last of it.  God is in the details, as they say.  Notice the slight indentation around the thumb.  Gettin' better at this!

13 hour stretch

So much for Labor Day. 10 Panels! What was suppose to be a 7-panel page turned out to be 11.  Need to snap a picture of the LA Skyline at night for an establishing shot. But here are some samples.  Shower, then bed. G'night...

Wha-La!

All that work to produce these two introductory panels.  Sheesh!!!

Here's the originals, courtesy of my friend's kitchen.
(Thanks, Sunny!)

Times are changing...

.... ignore the fine print, just like your average consumer.

The Grind...

No panels done, just images.  A day spent solely photoshopping pictures- and just two at that!  Of course, a program error caused me to redo an image from scratch, which is like redoing a report you just lost from a computer crash.  Grrrr!  And naturally, the picture doesn't look quite right despite my best efforts.  The blame goes to the different camera lens sizes between the two images I'm trying to marry (close-wide versus long).  Is this the best it can be?  Certainly not, but at some point you have to call it a day and move on.

It's a day. Here's to you, Senator.

Coffee anyone ?

Hmmm.... Would you brew this coffee?

The Final Countdown

So here it is, the final countdown.  Tomorrow is Day 1 of 9 for my project.  What does the first day really mean?

As my fictional character Miles Copely would say: “It is everything.”  Like any great mission, the first day is absolutely critical. After all, it sets the tone for the rest of the project:  The way it is approached; the intensity and focus—are all key to establishing rhythm and building momentum.  Am I pumped?  Am I amped?  You bet.  But there’s a lot riding on this and to take anything for granted or allow any sliver of mediocrity or complacency to bleed through the cracks can turn a well-oiled machine into a screeching grind.

But enough of that.  The dishes are clean, the bathroom’s scrubbed. and the fridge is stocked. It took over ten years to return to these characters.  And now it’s time to finally pay them off in a well-deserved carefully orchestrated medium.  But before I go, allow me to introduce one of my new characters replacing an old:  Senator Morgan.  You’ll definitely see one of these pics, photoshopped to twisted comic-book style.
And one last shot you'll also see... but my worried-looking face will be replaced by Miles Copely, that pesky Tabloid reporter.
